Special Programs Held for Women on Hazrat Zahra Martyrdom Anniversary

IQNA – Special Quranic programs and mourning rituals for women were held in Karbala on the martyrdom anniversary of Hazrat Zahra (SA).

The Women Quran Center, affiliated to the Astan (custodianship) of the holy shrine of Hazrat Abbas (AS) organized the programs at Al-Barakia Center last week. 

They included choral recitation of Surah Al-Fajr of the Holy Quran, Al-Kafeel reported.

There were also recitation of the Faraj Supplication as well as mourning ceremonies and elegy recitations, according to Manar al-Jabouri, head of the Women Quran Center.

She said the programs were aimed at raising religious awareness among women and preserving the religious heritage.

Such activities also help to promote the love for Ahl-ul-Bayt (AS) and enhance religious and human values in society, she noted.
